Indie Spotlight: Nova Albion

Posted in News on April 2, 2014

San Francisco-based quartet Nova Albion takes their title from the name Sir Francis Drake gave the territory that eventually became California, a land of endless opportunity and exploration. The quartet certainly treats their music that way - playing as party rock band Music for Animals for the last nine years only to decide to pause and completely reinvent themselves. They already have the chemistry and collective songwriting process down from their MFA days, but the precision and heart in their new material demonstrates considerable growth and huge potential for a future in the pop-rock world if their upcoming full length keeps up the precedent set with the excellent Nature EP.
