Indie Spotlight: MeTalkPretty
Formed in 2006 rock-pop noir band MeTalkPretty released one EP and embarked on a journey of relentless touring and self-promotion. They built a loyal fan-base, played over 400 shows in The US and Canada, embarked on two national runs with The Warped Tour, and killed slots at SXSW and CMJ. In 2009, the band won an MTV VMA for Best Breakout artist in New York, while song “Wake Up” was featured in EA Sports NHL 2010 and The Sims 3: World Adventures. MeTalkPretty’s debut record, entitled We Are Strangers, is scheduled for release on Eight O Five / Fontana / Universal Music this summer.
