BMI and the Sundance Film Festival presented the 11th annual Sundance Snowball music showcase in Park City, Utah on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. This year’s Snowball was held at the Sundance House presented by HP and celebrated the music documentary “Muscle Shoals,” which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. BMI’s VP, Film/TV Relations, Doreen Ringer Ross and “Muscle Shoals” Director Greg “Freddy” Camalier were on hand to discuss the musical journey that began in a small town in Alabama by the name of Muscle Shoals. Performers included Grammy Award-winners John Paul White of The Civil Wars, Terence Blanchard, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Percy Sledge, singer/songwriter Dan Penn, and keyboardist Spooner Oldham (all of whom appear in the documentary).
