EOne Releases Lead Single ‘Holy One’ from Upcoming BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Album

Broadcast Music, Inc. announces the release of the first single off the forthcoming BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Live 2013 album. Performed by Light Records recording artist Anaysha, “Holy One” is now available on iTunes. The single - and the forthcoming album - were recorded live on January 18 at the 14th annual BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards Luncheon in Nashville, an event that honors outstanding gospel music recording artists and individuals who have contributed to the ministry. In 2013, as part of the platform, BMI brought together some of gospel’s most prolific singers to pay tribute to three icons of music - Edwin Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins and Kurt Carr. BMI has now teamed-up with EOne Entertainment to distribute an album that brings the live music from this legendary event to all those who did not have the opportunity of witnessing the blessing first hand. “Holy One,” which was first made famous by Tramaine Hawkins, leads the release of the album, slated for digital and street release on October 22.

“I am elated to partner with Entertainment One to present the first recording from a performing rights organization with the release of the 14th annual BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards Luncheon live CD,” says BMI Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations Catherine Brewton. “Leading the project with Tramaine Hawkins’ classic song “Holy One,” interpreted by powerhouse vocalist Anaysha, exemplifies the premier gospel talent attached to the album.”

BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Live 2013 was produced by Joe “Flip” Wilson and Donald Lawrence, with BMI’s Catherine Brewton and BMI Senior Director, Writer/Publisher Relations Wardell Malloy serving as executive producers.
