BMI Congratulates its 2023 Latin American Music Award Winners

BMI is once again very proud of its talented songwriters who were singled out for their impressive accomplishments at last night’s eighth edition of the Latin American Music Awards, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Celebrated singer/songwriter Karol G was the most triumphant of the evening, taking home a total of eight awards, including Artist of the Year, Streaming Artist of the Year, Best Song for “Provenza,” Best Artist - Urban, Tour of the Year and Song of the Year, Collaboration of the Year and Best Collaboration Pop/Urban for “MAMIII,” her duet with Becky G*. Shakira was also a multiple winner,  collecting the awards for Best Artist – Pop and Best Collaboration Tropical for “Monotonía,” her track with Ozuna. Junior H similarly took home two awards for Best Artist – Regional Mexican and Best Album – Regional Mexcian for Mi Vida En Un Cigarro 2.

Hosted by Clarissa Molina, Galilea Montijo, Julián Gil, and Natti Natasha*, the ceremony featured some electrifying performances such as Pitbull and Lil Jon performing “Jumpin’,” a great rendition of “Que Veulvas” by Grupo Frontera, Young Miko playing “Lisa,” Peso Pluma singing “Chanel” with Becky G*, and Anuel AA delivering a show-closing “Más Rica Que Ayer.” Other performers of the night included Justin Quiles, Chiquis, Wisin and many more.
