BMI Congratulates its 2020 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Nominees

Dedicated to paying tribute to the composers and lyricists responsible for the world’s most celebrated popular music, The Songwriters Hall of Fame announced its laudable roster of songwriting luminaries nominated for induction in 2020, and BMI affiliates once again made a very strong showing. As one of the most prestigious accolades a songwriter can earn, induction into this revered institution connotes an exemplary grasp on the art from. Songwriters with notable catalogs of songs qualify for induction 20 years after the first significant commercial release of one of their works. The organization will honor its final inductees at the 51st Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction & Awards Gala on June 11, 2020, in New York City.

Eligible voting members have until midnight of December 16, 2019 to submit ballots with their choices of three nominees from the performing songwriter category and three from the non-performing songwriter category.

BMI congratulates its nominees and wishes them the best of luck in the selection process.
