Indie Spotlight: Yael Meyer
Santiago de Chile native Yael Meyer’s most recent release, “Heartbeat EP,” is produced by Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Fall Out Boy) and includes an all star cast of Danny Levin on trumpet (Lenka), Fil Krohnengold on acoustic guitar and accordion (Meiko) and Joseph Karnes on bass (Jesca Hoop). Her music is best described as “a female version of Death Cab for Cutie meets Jack Johnson” (Loud Dreams) and has been featured on KCRW by Nic Harcourt, ABC promos and numerous films, documentaries and runway shows. Yael is currently performing throughout the west coast and South America.
