Beach Wedding: Sandestin Music Festival Marries Sand & Soul

The inaugural Sandestin Music Festival married sand and soul August 13 and 14 in the Florida hotspot. Sponsored by BMI, the multi-genre event lineup featured legends Steve Cropper and Delbert McClinton; ace guitarist, singer and songwriter Lee Roy Parnell; trendsetting country songwriters Jeffrey Steele, Danny Myrick, Marty Dodson and James Slater; multi-media star Lari White; and promising up-and-comer Kree Harrison at the 2,400-acre Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
The vibrant music and packed listening rooms were for a vital cause: Donations collected at the festival will support the National Audubon Society and its efforts to help the birds and other wildlife affected by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The inaugural Sandestin Music Festival was also sponsored by TrustCore, the Sandestin Resort, San Quest Cruises, and Southwest Airlines.
