North Park Music Thing Hits San Diego Aug. 13 & 14

Photo

The North Park Music Thing (NPMT) - San Diego Music & Media Conference is slated for August 13 and 14 in the host city’s historic Lafayette Hotel, while musical showcases will flood 14 top-flight venues nearby.

During the day, conference registrants will enjoy an in-depth introduction to the music business through panels, panel discussions, workshops, and mentor and demo review sessions. Local, regional, and national music industry decision-makers will participate, including keynote speaker Kim Fowley, who managed influential all-girl troupe The Runaways in the 1970s.

Each night following the workshops, NPMT will showcase musical acts from all over the Southwest. All together, more than 150 acts will perform as part of the festival.

Save money and buy a two-day pass in advance—with no service or ticketing add-on costs—and learn more at sandiegomusicfoundation.org.
