Indie Spotlight: The Soft Pack

Photo

This is the true story of The Soft Pack, the most exciting young band in America. It’s the tale of how they came to deliver a stone-cold classic debut album, the best rock-garage-punk- debut of the year. Yes, the best. We know that before the year has even started. The band returned to their adopted home of Los Angeles in the summer of 2009 to write songs for their eponymous debut album. When they’d brewed the songs, they decamped to an apartment in New York to work with Eli Janney, once of 90s alternative rock behemoths Girls Against Boys but latterly a much in-demand producer and mixer, at Saltland Studios in Brooklyn. Slip The Soft Pack into your CD player. The evidence is there.
