Photo

The Songwriters Hall of Fame will host a networking meeting featuring Peter M. Thall on Tuesday, March 23 from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m. Staged at Shetler Studio (244 West 54th St., 12th Fl., Penthouse #1), the mixer is free and open to all aspiring songwriters and producers.

Participants are encouraged to bring iPods, headphones, and MP3 examples of original work to share with fellow attendees in efforts to make new connections for future collaborations. An event designed to foster new working relationships, the meeting will also feature comments from SongHall Projects Coordinator Peter Bliss, who will discuss upcoming workshops, showcases and events offered by the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Attorney Peter M. Thall will also offer a feature presentation during which he will discuss numerous issues currently shaping the music industry, including the impact of the Internet, long-term career planning, royalty pies, and much more. In addition to being an attorney, Thall is also the author of What They’ll Never Tell You About the Music Business: The Myths, the Secrets, the Lies (& a Few Truths).
