Jeff Bridges as Bad Blake in Crazy Heart

BMI songwriters T-Bone Burnett and Ryan Bingham walked away with the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 82nd annual Academy Awards, held Sunday, March 7 in Los Angeles. “The Weary Kind,” co-written by Burnett and Bingham, is the theme song for the critically acclaimed Crazy Heart, starring fellow BMI songwriters Jeff Bridges and Robert Duvall, as well as Maggie Gyllenhaal and Colin Farrell.

Five-time Academy Award nominee Bridges also found plenty to celebrate, as he garnered his first-ever Best Actor trophy for his work in the film.

The Crazy Heart soundtrack is currently available in stores and online, via Amazon, iTunes, and other outlets.
