Austin’s Neon Noodle Win SXSW Slot in My Band Rocks Fox Competition

Photo

Austin up-and-comers Neon Noodle snagged a SXSW slot during the Austinist Day Party as winners of FOX 7’s MY BAND ROCKS FOX contest, co-sponsored by BMI, Wendy’s, KROX, and KLBJ-FM. Thanks to impressive musicianship, sharp lyrical delivery, and promising swagger, the eight-member rock outfit bested almost 50 other bands. All contest participants were between 13 and 21 years old.

The SXSW Austinist Day Party, also co-sponsored by BMI, is slated for Wednesday, March 17 at Mohawk (912 Red River St). The invitation-only show kicks off at 11 a.m.
