Photo

An exciting mix of jet-setting up-and-comers and already iconic composers make up the list of BMI nominees for the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards. Musical theatre legend Maury Yeston will vie for the Best Original Song statuette thanks to his “Cinema Italiano” from Nine, adding yet another nomination to a résumé lined with accolades. Critically acclaimed young troubadour Ryan Bingham and rainmaker T-Bone Burnett’s collaboration “The Weary Kind” for film Crazy Heart is also up for Best Original Song.

Abel Korzeniowski garnered a Best Original Score nod for A Single Man, underscoring his growing reputation as a must-hear composer, while the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Karen O’s co-composed score for Where the Wild Things Are was tapped in the prestigious field as well.
