Insight & Praise Dominate BMI Agenda at 2009 Monitor Latino Conference

BMI dove into the three-day Monitor Latino conference, held August 24-26 at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort in Los Angeles.

BMI’s role was deep and diverse: On Monday, August 24, BMI’s Delia Orjuela and Marissa Lopez co-moderated the Demo Demolition panel, which featured insight from Nir Seroussi (Sony/BMG), Eddie Leon (Q-Buena/Los Compositores), Alberto “Chencho” Garcia (Viva Music) Alejandro Garza (Editora Arpa Musical), Mario Pupparo (BMI songwriter/producer) and Franco Giordani (BMI songwriter/producer); on Tuesday, August 25, BMI’s Delia Orjuela moderated the Recording Academy Grammy panel; and on Wednesday, August 26, BMI honored influential BMI artists/songwriters Huracanes del Norte and Homero Patron during the Noche de Gala Monitor Latino Excellence Awards.
