Toby Keith will be recognized by the NSAI as the Songwriter/Artist of the Decade (2000-2009) at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Foundation’s 39th anniversary dinner. A three-time BMI Country Songwriter of the Year, Keith has enjoyed truly prodigious success, boasting a thick BMI catalog that has generated more than 60 million performances. Songs including “As Good As I Once Was,” “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This,” “Honkytonk U,” “Does That Blue Moon Ever Shine On You,” “A Little Too Late,” “Beer for My Horses,” “Who’s Your Daddy,” “She Never Cried in Front of Me,” and “God Love Her” number prominently among a catalog stacked with hits. He recently celebrated his 25th chart-topper, “God Love Her,” and was named the Top Earning Male Musician of 2008 by Forbes.

Keith’s current single, “Lost You Anyway,” off the acclaimed That Don’t Make Me a Bad Guy, is currently climbing the charts.

During the ceremony, NSAI will also announce the winners of the coveted “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” awards, and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Foundation will induct BMI heavy weights Kye Fleming and Tammy Wynette into the Hall of Fame.
