BMI and Cal State Fullerton Celebrate Musical Anniversary
As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, Cal State Fullerton (CSF) hosted a panel titled “Sights & Sounds: Music for Film, TV & Video Games,” with BMI’s Anne Cecere serving as co-moderator. Also featured on the panel were BMI composer and youngest Emmy Award-winning composer, Camara Kambon (Diary of a Mad Black Women, La Corona, Girlfriends, Any Given Sunday); video game composer (World of War Craft), audio director of Blizzard Entertainment and three-time Emmy Award-winning sound designer Russell Brower; music supervisor (Fallen, The O in Ohio, Watching the Detectives, Call of Duty) and score supervisor (Basic, The Recruit, Ned Kelly, Pirates of the Caribbean) Allison Clark; and grad student and co-moderator Brandon Collins.
Cal State Fullerton was gracious enough to open this forum to the surrounding universities in town, including Biola University and Chapman University. The recital hall was standing room only with over 200 students in attendance, eager to learn from the industry professionals.
