BMI Composers Score Primetime Emmy Nods

BMI composers scored multiple nominations in key music categories for the 59th Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards. The awards, which celebrate excellence in national prime-time programming, will be held Saturday, September 8 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

BMI’s composers scored a notable 20 nominations, ranging from Outstanding Music Direction to Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music. Two-time Emmy-winner Jeff Beal garnered two nods for his musical compositions on TNT’s Nightmares & Dreamscapes and HBO’s Rome, while Debra Fordham received two nominations for her work on songs featured on NBC’s hit show Scrubs.
