Los Abandoned Go ‘Loco’ at BMI’s ‘Pick of the Month’ Showcase

The September edition of BMI's "Pick of the Month" featured the vivacious musical hybrid of Vapor/Sanctuary Records recording artists Los Abandoned. Marking the launch of their new release, Mix Tape, the band doused a filled-to-capacity Troubadour with a bilingual blend of hooky, high-energy pop/punk rock and retro-folklore that left the crowd elated and screaming "Otra mos" ("one more").

Shown after the show are (l to r, front row): BMI's Joe Maggini, Los Abandoned's Don Verde, BMI's Delia Orjuela, and Los Abandoned's Vira Lata and Dulce; (in back) Los Abandoned's Lady P and BMI's Myles Lewis.

BMI's "Pick of the Month" is a live, monthly showcase series focusing on a musically impacting band or artist whose talent is worthy of attention. The series is meant to help expose these artists to the music industry and public through a show held at a quality venue with discounted admission.
