Future Rock Stars Get Backstage Pass to BMI Seminar

BMI's free seminar, "The Star In You," held recently at New York's Sin-E Bar, offered those with big dreams a backstage pass to the rock star life. Designed to help songwriters, artists and the general public learn how to live like a rock star, the seminar was hosted by John Battaglia, Founder & President of Rockstar Image, an image-building and personal coaching firm for artists. Special guest Matt Hoffer, star of the CBS musical reality show Rock Star: Supernova, was also on hand to perform a short set.

Seminar host John Battaglia speaks to attendees

"The Star In You: Seven Keys to Creating a Star Mindset, Building a Star Image and Living a Star's Life" presented concepts that every songwriter and artist must know in order to make their strongest impression and increase their chances for success. Topics included how to build up your natural star qualities, how to have rock star motivation every day, how to make your strongest impression, how to create your own unique style, how to have your live performance blow people away, how to attract the right team around you, how to form a game plan to make your dreams a reality, and the three biggest mistakes that most emerging artists make.

BMI's Porfirio Pina and Judalina Neira, host John Battaglia, and BMI's Ben Tischker and Samantha Cox
