Songwriter David Pack Keeps ‘Movin’ On’

Concord Records hosted a luncheon recently to celebrate BMI songwriter David Pack's latest release, The Secret of Movin' On. BMI joined in the festivities by presenting the former Ambrosia front man with "Million Air" certificates in honor of three million broadcast performances of "Biggest Part of Me" and two million performances of "You're the Only Woman." Both songs were huge hits in the early 80s for the band, best know for infusing symphonic art rock with a slickly-produced pop sound, and are included on Pack's new disc as remakes.

Shown at the luncheon are Concord Music Group co-owner and ACT 111 CEO Norman Lear, Peak Records President Andi Howard, album guest star David Benoit, Concord Music Group GM Gene Rumsey, BMI's Barbara Cane, Pack, and Concord Music Group President Glen Barros.

After close to two decades behind the scenes producing and writing songs for other artists, Pack's long-awaited new solo album features a tour de force of guest appearances including Journey's Steve Perry, Heart's Ann Wilson, America's Dewey Bunnell and jazz artist David Benoit.
