Theatre Workshop Members Get Some Sweet Talking

Jeff Sweet, resident playwright at the Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago, was in New York recently to give a lecture to members of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

The Emmy-nominated dramatist co-wrote the musicals I Sent A Letter To My Love (with Melissa Manchester) and What About Luv? (with Susan Birkenhead). He is also the author of two books, including Something Wonderful Right Away about the early days of the Second City improv troupe. Sweet also teaches workshops on the use of improvisational techniques in scene writing.
