‘Replay’ Writer M’Jestie Helps Turn the Music Up

BMI songwriter M'Jestie stopped by the New York office to celebrate her first hit song with BMI executives from the Writer/Publisher Relations department. Dubbed this summer's smash, "Pon De Replay" is burning up the dance floors as well as the charts, camped out for the last 10 weeks at #2 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Congratulating M'Jestie (2nd left) are BMI's J.W. Johnson, Charlie Feldman and Samantha Cox

M'Jestie co-wrote "Replay" with 17-year-old Barbados native Rihanna, whose debut album, Music of the Sun, hits stores August 16. Fueled by Caribbean beats with a mixture of reggae, hip-hop and R&B, the dancehall anthem is giving DJs everywhere a reason to "turn the music up."
