McGraw, Altman and Osborne ‘Watch The Wind Blow By’ To #1

A breezy day on the BMI roof was the perfect setting for a party celebrating "Watch The Wind Blow By," the first #1 song for BMI writers Dylan Altman and Anders Osborne and the 22nd for Curb Records superstar Tim McGraw.

Also receiving congratulations and commemorative #1 cups were publishers Hope N Cal Music, Slowborne Music and Universal Songs of PolyGram, and co-producers (with McGraw) Byron Gallimore and Darran Smith.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Altman, a graduate of Boston's Berklee College of Music, has opened for Edwin McCain, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Ian Moore and Will Hoge. "Watch The Wind Blow By" is his first major cut.

A native of Sweden, singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer Osborne performed in various shows around the world before settling in New Orleans. He has released several albums featuring his distinctive blend of blues, funk, soul and R&B, including three projects for Shanachie. Among those who have cut Osborne's songs are Keb Mo and Jonny Lang.

"Watch The Wind Blow By" is the third #1 single from McGraw's platinum-plus project, Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors. A 33+ city tour, "Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors OUT LOUD Summer Tour 2004," launches June 11, and his new, yet-to-be-titled album, is set for release on August 31.
