Irv Gotti Heads Back to the Studio

BMI's Cheryl Dickerson dropped by the studio to greet multi-talented producer and songwriter Irv Gotti who was in town working on his latest studio project with Lloyd Polite. Polite, who co-wrote all but one of the songs on the project, is featured on a duet with Ashanti called "Southside" soon to be released on Gotti's newly renamed label, The Inc.

The rap mogul was named BMI's Urban Songwriter of the Year in both 2002 and 2003, as well as the 2003 BMI Pop Songwriter of the Year, bringing his total number of BMI Awards to 19.
