One Million Spins Makes Jay Knowles ‘Smile’

Jay Knowles has earned a BMI Million-Air Award for his George Strait hit "She'll Leave You With A Smile." In 2003, the song won a BMI Country Award and was performed during the live broadcast of the 36th Annual CMA Awards.

Knowles's other writing credits include "Self Made Man" (Montgomery Gentry), "There Goes The Boy" (Cyndi Thompson) and "Walter" (Charlie Robison). Based on an average length of three minutes, one million broadcast performances is the equivalent of 50,000 hours or 5.7 years of continuous airplay.
