Theatre Workshop Welcomes Guest Lecturers

BMI musical theatre composers Michael John LaChiusa and Paul Scott Goodman were guest lecturers in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop recently.

The multiple Tony nominated composer/lyricist of such Broadway shows as "Marie Christine" and "The Wild Party," LaChiusa has also won an Obie Award for "Hello Again" and "First Lady Suite," and was the first recipient of the Stephen Sondheim Award in 1989.

Paul Scott Goodman is the composer/lyricist of the Off-Broadway musical, "Bright Lights, Big City," and the 2001 New York International Fringe Festival hit "Him & Her" about a songwriter on the verge of fatherhood in NYC circa 1988 (Him) and the experiences of the same songwriter's wife, circa 1993 (Her).
