BMI Sponsors DIY Convention

BMI sponsored the recent fourth annual DIY Convention held Feb. 5-7 in Hollywood at the Barnsdall Art Park and the Derby nightclub. "Do It Yourself in Film, Music & Books" features panels, workshops and showcases focused on independent musicians, authors, filmmakers and entrepreneurs and offers information on how to create, promote, protect and distribute independent film, music and books. The three-day event includes the finals of the DIY Film Festival and DIY Music Festival. BMI's Ray Yee, Director of Film/TV Relations, moderated the "Licensing Music for Film & TV" panel on Feb. 7.
