‘She’s My Kind Of Rain’ Pools #1 Prize

BMI Award-winning songwriters Robin Lerner and Tommy Lee James were honored with a #1 party at BMI Nashville for "She's My Kind Of Rain," recorded by Tim McGraw. Also recognized were the song's publishers, Massabielle Music and Still Working For The Man Music, Inc., as well as producers Byron Gallimore and Darran Smith.


BMI's David Preston, Byron Gallimore, Darran Smith, Still Working For The Man Music's Barbara Orbison, Lerner's manager Whitney Daane, Robin Lerner, Tommy Lee James and Still Working For The Man Music's Clay Myers.

The party marked Lerner's third #1 country single, joining "This Kiss" (Faith Hill) and "Out Of My Bones" (Randy Travis). Other artists who have recorded Lerner's songs include Martina McBride, Take 6, Luther Vandross, Carly Simon and Wilson Phillips.

"She's My Kind Of Rain" is on McGraw's Curb Records album Tim McGraw and The Dancehall Doctors, which is nominated for Album of the Year at the 2003 CMA Awards.
