Dixie Chicks and Bruce Robison Salute ‘Travelin’ Soldier’

Before their "Top Of The World" tour stop at Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center (8/4), the Dixie Chicks thanked songwriter Bruce Robison for their #1 song "Travelin' Soldier" during a celebration hosted by BMI and Robison's publisher, Carnival Music. Among Robison's other credits are cuts by Lee Ann Womack, Gary Allan, his wife Kelly Willis, and the #1 single "Angry All The Time" by Tim McGraw. "Travelin' Soldier," from the Chicks' Grammy-winning platinum album Home (Open Wide/Monument Records), was written by Robison a dozen years ago and first appeared on his 1999 album, Long Way Home From Anywhere.
