Emilio Estefan

  BMI President and CEO Frances Preston presents BMI songwriter/producer Emilio Estefan with the 2002 Hope and Harmony Award from the Diabetes Research Institute at a fundraiser at the Billboard Live club in Miami Beach. Preston cited Estefan as "...one of South Florida's most notable humanitarians and philanthropists." The event inaugurated Latin Music Week (May 6-10), featuring the Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards 2002 and BMI's Latin Awards (May 8).
