Americana Music Conference Kicks-off with Chip Taylor

The second Americana Music Association Conference, held November 1-3 in Nashville, brought together a knockout triple-bill of Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Chip Taylor and Paul Thorn for an opening night reception and concert hosted by BMI. Among the highlights at the Belcourt Theatre were presentations to Taylor from BMI (a six Million-Air certificate for "Angel Of The Morning") and from EMI Music Publishing (a plaque for 10 million units of Shaggy's Hotshot album featuring the smash single "Angel").
