Faith Hill Leads List of American Music Awards Nominees

BMI country songwriter and pop's newest reigning crossover queen Faith Hill leads the list of nominees for the 28th Annual American Music Awards with four nods, it was announced recently by award organizers. Her nominations include Favorite Pop Female Artist and Favorite Country Female Artist. Hill's husband, fellow BMI songwriter Tim McGraw picked up a nomination for Favorite Country Male Artist. Other BMI songwriter/artists with multiple nominations include event host Britney Spears, Eminem, 'N Sync, Toni Braxton and Creed. The awards ceremony will take place January 8, 2001 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on ABC television.
