Posted in News on September 18, 2000

Songwriters Jim Funk and Erik Hickenlooper, who penned the #1 Kenny Rogers single "Buy Me A Rose," flew in from their homes in Utah to celebrate with new friends on Music Row during a reception at BMI Nashville (9/14). In addition to the engraved cups given by BMI to commemorate their chart-topping achievement, the pair was also presented with platinum certificates by Rogers for his million-selling Dreamcatcher Entertainment album She Rides Wild Horses. "Buy Me A Rose" was published by Blue Plate Music, Rex Benson Music, Stone Forest Music, and Tripptunes.
