Jim Collins’

Songwriter Jim Collins' seven-weeks-at-#1 hit "The Good Stuff" was recently honored as Billboard Magazine's 2002 "Country Song of the Year" at a party hosted by Warner/Chappell Music Publishing in Nashville. Recorded by Kenny Chesney, the song appears on his BNA Records album No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems.

Collins previously wrote the Chesney hit "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and won BMI Country Awards for "She Said Yes!" (Chad Brock) and "Hands Of A Working Man" (Ty Herndon). Among the party attendees was RCA Label Group security officer Rusty Martin; his story, of his wife's death from cancer, inspired the song.
