Established in 2002, the "Los Compositores" contest offers thousands of Latin songwriters a place to channel their works. More than 1,800 songs were submitted for the first contest, with songwriter Juan Meza's "Cáusame La Muerte" named the winner. Recorded by Los Tigres Del Norte, the first winner of the "Los Compositores" contest turned into one of the group's greatest hits.
