BMI proudly welcomes Arista Nashville recording artist Carrie Underwood to its growing family. The 2005 "American Idol" winner's debut single, "Jesus, Take the Wheel," spent six straight weeks at the top of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, while her already double-platinum album, Some Hearts, was in the number one slot for a grand total of 15 weeks.

"It's good to watch good things happen to good people," BMI's Shelby Kennedy shares. "Carrie deserves all the success she's had and is going to have. Watching her will be exciting for a long, long time."

Underwood, who was recently nominated for four ACM Awards and three CMT Music Awards, kicks off her highly anticipated tour in April.
