New York Yankees center fielder Bernie Williams (center), the newest member of the BMI family, has just released his debut CD on GRP Records entitled The Journey Within. A collection of original instrumentals and covers of Billy Joel and Kansas songs, the album features such star guests as salsa giant Ruben Blades, jazz banjo master Bela Fleck and salsa legend Gilberto Santa Rosa. A classically trained guitarist, playing and composing music is Bernie's first true passion with influences that include jazz, classical, pop, Brazilian, and the Latin rhythms of his Puerto Rican heritage.
