Director, International Administration - N964

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Act as a key business contact for International copyright and royalty matters.
  • Position oversees all aspects of International Administration which include but are not limited to Copyright Counterclaims, International Live Performance Notifications, Direct Licensing, Copyright Information Notices, Agreements, Royalty Inquiries and Adjustments.
  • Works closely with direct supervisor on business process evaluation, systems development and distributions to foreign societies.
  • Prioritizes and manages workflow.
  • Measures productivity.
  • Evaluates, researches and assesses information, both mathematical and verbal analysis.
  • Resolves conflicts.
  • Provides support to direct supervisor.
  • Communicates regularly with BMI staff and outside parties.
  • Secures and distributes required documents.
  • Acts as a key contact for International copyright and royalty matters.
  • Works with Information Technology on systems development.
  • Tests new systems.
  • Assists with special projects, as required.
  • Directly supervises departmental employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of music business experience a must!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess good judgement.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Foreign language preferred (not required)
