Senior Director of Finance and Accounting - L110
Responsibilities / Duties
- Responsible for performing tasks and managing assigned departmental functions as outlined below as well as identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies when applicable.
- Assist VP/Controller as described and act as project manager for special projects as needed.
- This individual will be responsible for the finances of a variety of strategic initiatives.
- The planning, which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Business Planning and Strategic Initiatives. Development of Operational Business Plans for Landmark, Outside (3rd Party) Venture and BMI including:
- Preparing detailed financial forecasts, performing necessary due diligence and reviews, preparing narratives for strategic plans, business plans and operational reviews.
- Finance/Accounting Project Management: Manage small to mid-sized financial project to agreed upon specifications, to completion on deadline and with quantifiable results.
- Define, recommend and execute strategic direction for cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepare detailed ad hoc reports and financial summaries for the use of Senior Management and the Landmark/BMI Board of Directors.
- Prepare and deliver financial and strategic presentations for the use of Senior Management and the Landmark/BMI Board of Directors.
- Financial Liaison for Landmark Subsidiaries, Partnerships.
- Execute company’s budgeting/forecasting process.
- Assist VP/Controller and company officers with the preparation of annual budgets.
- Analyze and prepare expense schedules for support documentation.
- Contribute to long-term strategic and operational planning and forecasting as needed.
- Maintain documentation repository for audit purposes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years accounting experience.
- Minimum 3 years management or supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office with advanced.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks while meeting assigned deadlines.
- Ability to understand related accounting policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally, in a professional manner.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changes.
- Ability to work effectively alone or as member of a team.
- Possess and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
