WIM Presents a Special Evening with Catherine Russell: New York
Whether you realized it or not, you have undoubtedly heard the dynamic and powerful voice of Catherine Russell on several of the albums in your personal collection. Catherine's spectacular vocal abilities have kept her very busy with stage, recording, and television appearances. She has toured with Paul Simon, Edie Brikell, Steely Dan, Cyndi Lauper, Elvis Costello, and Chaka Khan, to name just a few. Catherine's recording credits include albums by Donald Fagan, Al Kooper, Gloria Estefan, Rosanne Cash, Joan Osborne, Marc Cohn, Sandra Bernhard, Madonna, and Buster Poindexter. Catherine has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, and Late Night with Conan O'Brian, and performed on Broadway in the production of Big River. She also is a member of the voice studies faculty at the Berklee College of Music. We are grateful to Catherine for making time to chat with WIM during a brief break in her current tour with Jackson Browne.
