Urban Songwriters Workshop: New York

This workshop provides a comprehensive look at urban songwriting from an industry insider's point of view. Songs are critiqued for their lyrical and musical content, re-shaped when necessary, then nurtured into a final presentation ready to be heard by publishers, producers, record companies and artists. Our Urban Songwriters Workshop will begin on June 11, and continue every Wednesday there after. The last day of class will be Wednesday, July 16th. Mtume will be the instructor for the class. We will be taking submissions for this workshop, and request that the writer send a cd with no more than 3 songs. The deadline for submissions will be Friday, May 9, 2003. They should write Submission for Urban Songwriters Workshop on the package. All submissions should be sent attention: Wardell Malloy. NO PHONE CALLS!!
