DEMO Panel: BMI New York Office

Sponsored by BMI from 6-8pm at the BMI New York office (320 West 57th St., NYC 3rd floor Media Room). Indie musicians and songwriters know the importance of a good demo. But once it's recorded, how do you get it heard by industry professionals? The DEMO Panel will address that very question. Panelists include Brooke Primont, Director, Writer-Publisher Relations, BMI; Rita Houston, Music Director, WFUV FM; Mary Gormley, A&R, Atlantic Records; Jennifer Gilson, talent booker, The Living Room; moderated by singer/songwriter Paul Brubaker. Each panelist will discuss their approach to reviewing demos, as well as what they look for in demo submission. The panelists have also agreed to listen to a few demos at the event, so don't forget to BRING YOUR DEMO! Admission is free, however space is limited. You must RSVP to eventsnyc@bmi.com.
