BMI Urban Awards: New York
Funk originator George Clinton will be named BMI Icon at its 9th Annual Urban Awards ceremony, being held at Jazz At Lincoln Center in New York City.
This invitation-only event will also honor the world’s premier r&b, rap and hip-hop songwriters, producers and publishers of the past year's top urban music, as well as crown the Urban Songwriter, Song and Publisher of the Year.
