SPONY Songwriter Pitch-A-Thon: New York

SPONY songwriter pitch-a-thon will be held at the BMI New York offices at 320 W. 57th Street, 6:00–8:00pm - open to all. CD check in starts at 5:15 pm and the doors close at 6:30pm (unless capacity is reached before then). $20 Admission Fee (Cash Only). Fee entitles you to enter one song (Limit one song per person).

The industry guest panel will be:

The Creative Director of Pop A&R for EMI Music Publishing who is looking for Top 40 and Crossover Top 40. Songs must have strong, unforgettable hooks.

The Senior Director of Film & TV music for Cherry Lane Music Publishing who is looking for "radio-ready" songs in all styles for placement in their film & TV projects. She is particularly interested in finding upbeat, happy songs.

An Independent Music Supervisor, who works with MTV, and is looking for "radio-ready" music, both instrumental and vocal, in all styles for placement in their shows and promos. Songs that will "turn a person's head" with a consistent, strong melodic line have the best chance for placement.
