BMI to Host Songwriter Pitch-A-Thon

SPONY songwriter pitch-a-thon will be held at the BMI New York offices at 320 W. 57th Street, 6:00–8:00pm; CD Check-in at 5:00pm. Open to all - $20 Admission Fee (Cash Only). Fee entitles you to enter one song (Limit one song per person).

The industry panel of judges include:

David Hnatiuk, an independent music supervisor for film and TV, is looking for reggaeton, hard rock, rap, indie rock, electronica, and garage rock for MTV-related projects and a special project for which he needs news music for background placements on a major network.

John McCracken, A&R Director for Manhattan Records, a division of the Blue Note Label Group, is looking for songs in the style of Norah Jones, jazz, classical crossover, and niche roots music.

Meridith Valiando is the A&R Manager for the Spirit Music Group. She is looking for progressive, fresh and inspired songs which cross genre lines. A fusion of styles interests her most.
