The Rugs

Close to a year in the making, the Nashville-based quartet are set to release in June 2002 their debut album Suez Canal (select tracks recorded and produced by Howard Benson, mixed by Jack Joseph Puig). "Breakdown," the LP's first single, was released to radio in April and has begun picking up early ads at Modern Rock and Alternative radio (WRAX, KTBZ).

6 Against 7

Atlanta artists 6 Against 7 emerge from stint in the studio with powerful and moody new pop-rock tracks produced by Huston Singletary. Independent record to be released Summer '02.

 

Joshua Bennett

A classically trained singer turned songwriter, Joshua is at home on virtually any instrument from bass to piano and all points in between. Surrounded by some of the most highly respected musicians of our times, he recently recorded at the famous QUAD Studios with Ian McLagan (Faces, Rod Stewart), Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow, Pete Droge) and Ken Coomer (Wilco, Steve Earle). "The result is an astonishing reminder of what music should be."

Charlie Mars

No frills rock and roll, lyricism, and pop sensibility. "I'm No Angel" produced by John Keane (REM, Indigo Girls) featured on the upcoming BMI New Music Sampler #1 national compilation. The Oxford, MS native's fourth independent release is release due out in Fall '02.
