More about the Band: Postfontaine stems from the ashes of The Lapdancers – one of the most underrated bands in California history. The Lapdancers formed in the summer of 1994 when singer/songwriter Emile Millar teamed up with brothers Mick and Thom Flowers. With Mick on drums and Thom on guitar, the group developed into a solid rock band with hook-laden songs and an emotion-drive live show. Engineered and produced primarily by Thom (who is also a contributing songwriter), the band recorded timeless music barely heard by anyone except for friends and strippers. Along with bassist Marko 72 (now of Sugarcult), The Lapdancers played few gigs but remained together for five years recording nearly 20 original songs and generating a fan base of musicians and artists from Santa Barbara to L.A. |
