R&B Pioneer Awards: Philadelphia
The 2006 honorees include Berry Gordy (Lifetime Achievement), Otis Redding (Legacy Award), Thom Bell, Chubby Checker, Bettye LaVette, Barbara Mason, the Del Fonics and Frankie Beverly & Maze. The ceremony will be held in the Foundation’s new hometown, Philadelphia, at Philly’s legendary Bellevue-Stratford hotel, now known as the Park Hyatt Philadelphia at the Bellevue.
