53rd Annual Prime-Time Emmy Awards : Los Angeles

Postponed twice for the only time in history, the Emmy Awards have been rescheduled for November 4 at the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles. Organizers are still working out logistical details of the ceremony, but Academy President Jim Chabin indicated that the show would be scaled down from the original gala planned September 11, the day of terrorist attacks on New York and Washington. The ceremony was called off again hours before broadcast time October 7 because of the U.S.-British air attacks on Afghanistan.
